Anglican Religious Life (edited Nicolas Stebbing CR) £11.50 These essays portray the recovery of religious life within the Anglican tradition as a gift from God, and also recognise that religious communities have entered a time of searching and revision. The writers believe that religious life is a faith-guided venture into the unknown. They also believe that, when it becomes secure and part of the institution, it is a valued gift within the Church.
Confessing our Sins (Nicolas Stebbing CR: 2002) [COS] £4.10 In the western and eastern Churches the sacrament of confession has always been a central part of the serious Christian life. At first sight confession may seem a very gloomy or miserable sacrament. In fact it isn't. It deals with some very sad material and for that reason it is necessary to look to the past. But the purpose is to free us from the evil of the past and turn us towards the future. It opens us up to experiencing the Resurrection of Christ. It shows us still more about the wonderful God we have who takes such care of us and showers us with gifts of love as soon as we give him the chance.
Everyday God (George Guiver CR: 1994) [EG] £6.99 A simple but powerful invitation to see God in all things, by believing and praying in ways that are often neglected and forgotten. The Church of England Newspaper writes In a series of perceptive observations of human behaviour in ordinary life, starting with the queue in the newsagent's shop, George Guiver leads the seeker to approach and trust God in the same sort of way as our family and neighbours.
Pursuing the Mystery (George Guiver CR) [PTM] £ 9.99 How is Christ present in worship and how is he present in the daily life of the world?
Company of Voices (George Guiver CR) [COVS] £20.00 Vital reading for anyone who wishes to understand the nature of prayer. Down to earth and accessible, yet applauded for its scholarship, it is "full of help and sympathy for the Christian who finds prayer difficult".
Two books written by groups including members of the Community of the Resurrection which look at the the place of the Priest in Today's Church:
The Fire and the Clay (1993) [F & C] £11.99 This book was written in response to the proposal to close The College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. The authors are: Peter Allan CR, Sister Barbara June SLG, John Gribben CR, George Guiver CR, Christine Henshall, Nicolas Henshall, Charles Pickstone, and Margaret Selby.
Priests in a People's Church (2001) [PPC] £10.99 The authors of "The Fire and the Clay" finished that work very quickly (in less than 3 months), realising when they did so that there was more to be written. This book continues some of those thoughts and explorations, though still in the sense of "work in progress", for we read at the end of the Introduction "having done this,we are now even more aware that the mystery deepens and attracts still further".

Death has been swallowed up by life."
The Joy of God (1979) [JOG] £12.99 H A Williams writes "The Joy of God is ours already, but, being too blind to recognise it, we have to discover it, not in religious theory, but in the warmth and sweetness and dryness of actual living"
