It was so much fun that........

The Community of the Resurrection

Will hold another grand auction on 10th November 2012

To be conducted by George Gribben a celebrated Belfast auctioneer.

We will be inviting all our friends to join us in this venture to restore our beautiful house of God.

We will need volunteers to collect, deliver and temporarily store donations, and we will want you to give generously from your attic, box room, jewel box or glory hole.

We are aiming to raise £10,000+ so if you have items that are likely to fetch £50 or more, you can make a big difference - but don’t worry smaller lots are very welcome.

In the last auction some things did very well as individual items – medals, ivory (antique), icons, while others – postcards, coins, badges, did well when gathered in bulk. So keep an eye out.

However we don’t want modern furniture, crockery or electrical goods (unless new) or modern clothing – these items don’t do well at auctions.

Some things that do well:

Memorabilia (War, Sport and entertainment)

Vintage clothing

Old Uniforms, Swords and weapons

Jewellery (costume and the real thing) - the older the better

Old postcards and documents (these were among the stars at the Centenary Auction!)

Paintings – especially if signed and dated

Old Comics and annuals

Medals and badges (war, coronation, BB, Scouts and Guides)

Watches (even broken ones but not battery)

Church ornament and vesture (not cassocks or surplices)

And anything with a famous signature

If you have it, we want it.

Please don’t bring anything large without checking first!

If you can’t bring it, we will try to fetch it.
